Lip blushing is a cosmetic tattoo procedure designed to enhance the natural beauty of your lips. Using micro-needles, organic pigments are gently deposited into the lips, creating a soft, subtle color. Unlike traditional tattoos, lip blushing provides a natural-looking tint that complements your unique lip and skin tone, making it virtually undetectable as a tattoo.

This procedure enhances lip symmetry, camouflages scars, corrects imperfections, and evens out pigmentation, all while giving the appearance of fuller, more defined lips. Results typically last 18 months to 3 years, depending on proper aftercare and maintenance.

Lip Neutralization is a gradual process designed to neutralize and subtly brighten darker-toned lips. This procedure involves the careful layering of ink over multiple sessions to achieve a more balanced and vibrant lip tone.

In the first session, warm-based pigments are applied to neutralize cool undertones in lips, such as blue or purple hues. Dark Lip Neutralization is suitable for both men and women. Typically, 3 or more sessions are required to achieve the desired shade and tone.

Results generally last 18 months to 2 years, depending on how well the lips are maintained. Factors such as smoking or certain medications, which may contribute to lip darkening, can affect the longevity of the results.

• Anyone with Hepatitis or HIV.

• Anyone with diabetes (requires written letter with a doctors approval).

• Anyone taking blood thinners, blood or clotting disorders (requires written letter with a doctors approval).

• Anyone with uncontrolled high blood pressure (requires written letter with a doctors approval).

• Anyone with heart disease or pacemaker (requires written letter with a doctors approval).

• Anyone currently diagnosed with cancer or undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatments.

• Anyone that has had any botox, chemical peels, laser treatments or lip fillers in the last 4 weeks.

• Anyone that has used medications like Accutane or steroids such as cortisone, Retin-A or Renova in the last six months.

• Anyone that has used retinol in the last 6 weeks.

• Anyone that tends to have history of keloid scars.

• Epilepsy

• Active skin conditions, outbreaks or flare-ups such as rashes, eczema, psoriasis, herpes simplex, shingles, moles, lesions or sores in the area to be treated.

• Anyone with spider veins or a textured birthmark in area to be treated.

• Recent surgeries or open wounds on the area to be treated.

• Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs during your appointment-it will be cancelled and you will be charged the entire treatment cost.

A: LIP BLUSH- Lip blushing is a cosmetic tattoo procedure that is achieved by depositing organic ink pigments into your lips using micro needles. Lip Blush enhances your lip symmetry, can camouflage scars, correct any imperfections and uneven pigmentation while giving you the illusion of larger and fuller lip.

B: DARK LIP NEUTRALIZATION: is a gradual process that neutralizes and/or slightly brightens darker toned lips. The neutralization and brightening process takes time and is done by gradually depositing ink in layers over multiple sessions.

C: FULL LIP COLOR: is the most dramatic style of permanent lips. It mimics the outliner and saturating the entire surface of the lips with organic ink pigments to imply you're wearing lipstick. Any shade can be turned into a full lip color style it just takes multiple sessions to create that look. Typically Lip Blush requires only 2 sessions, this would require 3-4 sessions for the desired opaque look.

D: AQUARELLE LIPS: doesn't include the outline, so it is a much more subtle and softer effect. Aquarelle technique name comes from watercolor paintings. It is a softer lip blended color with no harsh edges. The lip centers are more saturated as the outer edges are softer.

E: OMBRE LIP BLUSH: has saturated outer edges and the inner parts of the top and bottom lips are gradually transparent. It gives the illusion of a much more plumped pout.

During your initial consultation, you will discuss the expected results with your artist. They will show you examples of their prior work to help you understand what to expect. The artist will also assess how many sessions are required for your specific needs. If you're opting for Lip Blush, the artist will explain the process for both sessions. You may bring a photo of your favorite lipstick or lip liner—or the actual product—to match the color as closely as possible to your desired shade. Keep in mind, the chosen color will need to complement your skin tone, as the skin's natural undertones will impact the final result. It’s also important to remember that the color will lighten by about 30-50% during the healing process.

For Dark Lip Neutralization, your technician will discuss how many sessions may be necessary to achieve your desired neutralized and brightened lip color. The number of sessions depends on how well the pigments take to your lips and how they heal after each session.

Your technician will provide detailed pre- and post-session instructions, outlining what to do before and after your treatments, and what you can expect during the healing process. You will be asked to complete a consent form, including your medical history, to ensure there are no contraindications that could prevent the treatment. Additionally, you will be asked to sign a consent form regarding the use of photos or videos for marketing or social media purposes. While it’s optional, it’s appreciated if you agree.

Finally, you’ll receive an estimated cost for the procedure based on your specific needs and expectations, whether the consultation is done in person or virtually using photos you provide.

The initial Lip Blush or Lip Neutralization session will take the longest, as it involves mapping out your lips and ensuring the correct symmetry for outlining. The technician will typically apply a numbing cream or gel, which needs some time to take effect. The actual tattooing process usually lasts between 1 to 1.5 hours.

However, the time required can vary depending on individual factors such as dried lips or existing lip conditions.

The second touch-up session will be shorter, as most of the time in the first session is spent on mapping and achieving the proper symmetry. Follow-up appointments typically last 30 minutes to an hour less than the initial session.

For Dark Lip Neutralization, each session typically lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours.

TWO MONTHS-TWO WEEKS BEFORE PROCEDURE:

• If You Have Been On Prescription Accutane In The Past Or Currently You Must Wait At Least 1 Year Before Considering Lip Blush Procedure.

• If Taking Antibiotics Last Dose Must Be Taken 2 Months Prior To The Lip Blush Procedure.

• Avoid Bleaching Treatments, Glycolic Acid, Chemical Peels, Dermabrasion, Laser Treatments, Botox And Fillers Around The Lip Area 30 Days Prior to Lip Blush Procedure. *It Is Recommended To Wait 1 Month Following Any Lip Filler Procedures And 6 Months Following Any Lip Surgery Procedure, Such As Lip Implants With Incision For Healing.

• Avoid Retinols, Accutane And Anti-Aging Creams Eg. Retin A 30 Days Prior To Lip Blush Procedure.

• Avoid Tanning & Excessive Sun Exposure 2 Weeks Prior To And 1 Week Post Lip Blush Procedure.

ONE WEEK BEFORE PROCEDURE:

• Avoid Aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen (Tylenol/Acetaminophen Is Ok To Consume)

• Avoid DHA Supplements, Omega3/Fish Oils, Cayenne Supplements, Turmeric, Vitamin E, Niacin (Or Anything That Can Cause Blood Thinning).

• Avoid Marijuana And Cigarette And/Or Cigar Smoking

• Keep Your Lips Well Hydrated With A Good Lip Balm

***If Any Of The Above Are Taken For Medical Purposes, Please Consult With Your Physician. If You Have Been Prone To Any Type Of Cold Sores (Herpes Simplex Virus) Or Fever Blisters You May Have The Herpes Simplex Virus That Lies Dormant In Your System, This Procedure Could Cause An Outbreak. It Is Best To Consult With Your Doctor And Upon Your Doctor’s Recommendation, Take Doctor-Prescribed Medication Such As Acyclovir, Zovirax, Or Valtrex Before And After The Lip Procedure To Help Prevent Or Lessen The Severity Of An Outbreak. Be Sure To Get Enough For All Appointments That Will Be Needed To Complete Your Lipblush Or The Dark Lip Neutralization Procedures. The Pmu Lipblush & Dark Lip Neutralization Medication Waiver Will Be Given To You For Further Instructions.

ONE-THREE DAYS BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE:

• Must Take Valtrex or L-Lysine 3 Days Before and 3 Days After Lip Blush Procedure To Prevent Outbreak.

• Avoid Alcohol (Especially Red Wine). Coffee, Tea, Energy Drinks And/Or Excessive Amounts Of Caffeine.

• Avoid Waxing Treatment Areas 3 Days Prior.

• Stay Hydrated And Drink Plenty Of Water (The First Sign Of Dehydration Is Dry Lips)

• Gently Exfoliate Your Lips 2 Days Prior To Your Procedure, 2x/Day (You Could Use Sugar And Coconut Oil Or Agave As A Mixture For A Natural Exfoliate)

• Wash Your Hair 24 Hrs Prior (To Be Extra Cautious To Not Get The Application Area Wet For Several Days).

THE DAY OF PROCEDURE:

• Avoid Intense Physical Activity (Light Yoga And Walking Are Ok).

• You Can Wear Your Normal Makeup On The Day Of Your Procedure

• Eat Prior To Your Lip Blush Procedure So You Are Ok For The 2-3 Hour Procedure & You Can’t Eat for 3-5 Hours Post Procedure.

• It's Encouraged To Bring Your Favorite Lipsticks And/Or Lip Liners With You To Your Appointment Or Photos Of Lip Shapes And Colors You Prefer

On an average for the lip blush procedure patients need 2 sessions to complete the procedure.

Dark Lip Neutralization usually takes at least 3 sessions but can take up to 5 sessions to complete the entire Lip Neutralization procedure.

While everyones pain tolerance is different, most clients find it tolerable. The artist will provide topical anesthetics being either a numbing cream or gel to use during the procedure to help minimize any pain or discomfort. Those with a lower pain tolerance might be a little bit more uncomfortable. Others might not feel any pain at all.

After the first session, you'll get more accustomed to the idea, in turn leaving you mentally prepared for the remaining sessions to come. Most clients say they don't feel it as much in the second or third sessions. The front and temples seem to be a little more sensitive than the crown at the top of your head. Usually the hairline and temple area on the first session are the most sensitive areas being the focal point and needing the most pigment placement when getting your hairline mapped out perfectly.

Lip Blushing and Dark Lip Neutralization are cosmetic procedures, which are not covered by medical insurance.

On the average, cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup procedures cost a minimum of $400-$800 per session. Due to the multiple layers required in lip blushing, the cost may go much higher. Dark Lip Neutralization will cost more due to more sessions needed to reach the clients desired outcome.

However, we charge $475 per initial session. If more than 2 sessions are needed, we will give you a discounted cost for your follow up appointments.

After the Lip Blushing procedure, you will have slight puffiness and swelling that will be noticeable for the first twenty-four hours. The pigmented color will appear approximately twenty-five percent darker (lip blush) or lighter (lip neutralization), immediately after its application, but it will fade after 5 days. It will achieve its permanent color after a few weeks.

Using a tissue, gently dab your lips if you notice any lymph fluid for the next 24 hours, as it can cause your lips to scab and loss of pigment. After 24 hours you need to wash your lips with a gentle, scent-free soap and pat dry with a clean cloth. Throughout this healing process your lips will feel dry or chapped and will even go through a peeling phase. Be sure to continue to use the ointment your technician provided you with after each meal and throughout the days to keep them thoroughly moisturized.

We ask that you please reschedule or cancel at least 2 days before the beginning of your appointment or you may be charged a cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy:

* Consultations are free, however if I can not get in touch with you for a virtual consult or you do not show up to the physical location you will be charged $75 fee as a no-show for tattoo appointments.

* Cancellations made after 48 hours before the appointment will forfeit their deposit and be charged 50% of their service fee.

* Rescheduling Policy:

* To reschedule a tattoo appointment, a new $100 deposit will be needed for all tattoo services ($25 deposit for airbrush spray tanning) but will be applied towards your scheduled service.

* If you cancel the rescheduled appointment under 48 hours of the date and time you forfeit the $100 deposit ($25 deposit for airbrush spray tanning).

*Rescheduling a tattoo appointment before the 48 hours your deposit will be transfered to the new date but must be scheduled within the next 30 days.

* Second-Time Offense: * To reschedule after the second late cancellation, you must pay 50% of the tattoo service treatment as a deposit or the 100% payment for airbrush spray tan.

* Multiple Late Cancellation Consequences: After a third late cancellation or no-show, the studio reserves the right to terminate the client relationship.

No-Show Policy: A "no-show" occurs when a client misses an appointment without prior notice.

* Clients who no-show will be charged 100% of their service. They will be charged the full scheduled service fee and will have to pay in full for future appointments at the time of booking.

* Policy Enforcement:

* Fees for late cancellations or no-shows will be automatically charged to the client's account or card on file. Policies are on consent forms, website, and confirmation emails and texts that are sent to you prior to your appointments, so there are no excuses and no exceptions. If we do not receive a confirmation prior to your appointment your appointment will be cancelled. You will need to reschedule a new appointment and place a new deposit.

*Late Arrivals-

There is a 15 minute grace period for any appointment. If you are 16+ minutes you will be cancelled and your deposit will be forfeited and in addition a 50% service fee of scheduled service will be applied to card on file. You will need to apply a new deposit to reschedule your appointment through the booking site for future appointments.

*No additional guests-

Guests and children are not permitted for safety reasons.
